應用

在各种研究中，细胞色素 c 被用作线粒体依赖性细胞凋亡的诱导剂。细胞色素 c 中氧化位点的识别和监测可能对评估氧化应激相关病症和疾病具有重要意义。它有可能用作评估氧化损伤程度以及细胞和组织抗氧化能力的生物标志物。

细胞色素 c 适合用作磷酸盐缓冲液的成分，用于采用蓝色天然凝胶电泳（BN-PAGE）检测和评估复合物 IV 活性。它还可用于检测分离的肾脏吞噬细胞中的细胞外超氧阴离子 (ECSA)。
马的细胞色素c经过H2O2和UV 处理后的特异性位点和氧化程度已经过表征。研究表明这些位点可能可用作细胞内氧化环境的生物标记。

生化／生理作用
