General description

Phenol Red sodium salt is widely used as a pH indicator. At a pH of 6.4 and below, phenol red solution will have a yellow color. At a pH of 8.2 and above, it will have a red color. It is commonly used in culture media to detect neutral to acidic pH changes.

Application

Phenol Red sodium salt has been used as an indicator during single-guide RNA microinjection into one-cell stage zebrafish embryos.
Suitable for use as a pH indicator.
