Advanced Cell Culture Technology for Generation of In Vivo-like Tissue Models
Sponsored by the European Collection of Authenticated Cell Cultures (ECACC)
More sophisticated cell models are developing as 3D cell culture technology becomes established and accepted as a means of creating more physiologically relevant cell-based assays. Methods that are relatively straightforward to use and that recreate the organized structure of real tissues will become valuable research tools for use in discovery, validation studies, and modelling disease. This webinar will review the alternative approaches available to researchers and provide an overview of their capabilities and example applications.
For over a decade, we have worked with the European Collection of Authenticated Cell Cultures (ECACC), a part of Public Health England, to bring authenticated and quality controlled cell lines and nucleic acids to research laboratories around the world. ECACC is one of the premier collections of authenticated cell cultures in the world and includes cell lines originating from 45 different species, 50 tissue types, 300 HLA types, 450 monoclonal antibodies and at least 800 genetic disorders.
