General description

Crude collagenases are widely used in enzymatic primary cell isolation and tissue dissociation procedures. Most researchers employ either crude collagenase preparations such as Types I, II, III, and IV or chromatographically purified collagenase. Dispase is especially suitable for tissue disaggregation and subcultivation procedures since it does not damage cell membranes. EMD Millipore’s Animal Free Collagenase/Dispase Blend I is a mixture of animal free collagenase, type B, and neutral protease/dispase, and is inteneded to be used when a more potent enzymatic dissociatation solution than collagnaease is desired. The product is prepared and purified from cultures grown in medium completely devoid of animal based components and designed for bioprocessing applications where introduction of animal derived pathogens, such as BSE,TSE and other mammalian viruses, must be prevented.
Product Source: Isolated and purified from Clostridium histolyticum and Bacillus polymyxa cultures devoid of animal containing reagents.
This product is manufactured in an ISO9001:2008 certified enviroment.
