General description
Dextrose polymers are functionalized with thiol-reactive maleimide groups, which react rapidly with thiol groups of crosslinkers to form hydrogels in few seconds. The thiol-reactive maleimide groups are also compatible to conjugate polymers with bioactive factors. The thioglycerol is used to maintain hydrogel strength and also as a control to compare cellular behavior in peptide-modified versus unmodified hydrogels. The buffers (pH7.2 and pH 5.5) are used to control pH and osmotic conditions to optimize time for gelation.
TrueGel3D enzymatic cell recovery solution (TRUEENZ-500UL) is used to dissolve dextran polymers for easy recovery of chemically fixed or live cells for post-culture analyses including RT-PCR, western blots and other molecular biological studies.
