A stable-labeled internal standard with suitable uses in LC/MS and GC/MS application for quantitation of heroin levels in clinical toxicology, forensic analysis and urine drug testing applications. Heroin, also known as diacetylmorphine, is an opiate analgesic most commonly used as an illcit recreational drug.

Application

• Controlled heroin-maintenance research: A study conducted with participants in a controlled heroin-maintenance program analyzed hair samples to establish dose-concentration relationships, utilizing Heroin-D₉ as a stable isotopic label to trace heroin metabolites, demonstrating its utility in pharmacokinetic research (Kintz et al., 1998).
