Application

La sal N-hidroxisulfosuccinimida de sodio es un análogo sulfonado hidrosoluble de la N-hidroxisuccinimida. Puede experimentar una reacción de acoplamiento con los ácidos carboxílicos en presencia de carbodiimidas como la 1-etil-3-(3-dimetilaminopropil)carbodiimida (EDC) para formar ésteres activos hidrófilos del N-hidroxisulfosuccinimida. Estos ésteres son útiles en los experimentos de entrecruzamiento de proteínas.
