General description

Heparin-binding 40 kDa fragment of human plasma fibronectin purified from chymotryptic digest of human plasma fibronectin. This preparation contains the CS-1 heparin-binding region of fibronectin. Heparin-binding fragment promotes cytoskeleton organization in integrin signaling. This preparation shows one major band at 40 kDa in SDS-PAGE with no higher molecular weight species present. Smaller proteolytic fragments may be present.

Human sourced raw material used in the production of this product tested negative for hepatitis B virus, hepatitis C virus (HCV), human immunodeficiency virus type-1 (HIV-1) and type-2 (HIV-2), human T-cell lymphotropic virus (HTLV-1 and HTLV-2) and Treponema pallidum. Handle as if potentially infectious.
Product Source: Human

Application

ELISA

Affinity chromatography

Possibly for molecular mapping of fibronectin function

Cell attachment and integrin signaling assays

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.

Physical form

Purified by gelatin-Sepharose and heparin-Sepharose column chromatography. Lyophilized from sodium citrate buffered saline, 20mM, NaCl 150mM, pH 7.4. Reconstitute with distilled water.

Storage and Stability

Maintain lyophilized material at -20°C for up to one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, maintain at -20°C for up to six months in undiluted aliquots. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
