Specificity

Nerve growth factor-beta (NGF). By one site ELISA, less than 1% cross-reactivity against recombinant human BDNF or neurotrophin 4. Approximately 2% cross-reactivity against neurotrophin 3.

Immunogen

Mouse nerve growth factor-beta purified from salivary glands. Antigen purity greater than 95% by PAGE.

Application

Anti-Nerve Growth Factor-β Antibody is an antibody against Nerve Growth Factor-β for use in ELISA, WB, IH.
Immunohistochemistry: 1-10 μg/mL (see suggested protocol).

Immunoblotting: 1-10 μg/mL

ELISA: 1-10 μg/mL

Inhibition of biological activity in vitro: 1-10 μg/mL
BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY: Neutralizes NGF, but not other neurotrophins.

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.

Protein G purified immunoglobulin. Lyophilized from PBS, no preservatives. Reconstitute with 500 μL of sterile distilled water (1 mg/mL).

Storage and Stability

Maintain at -20 to -70°C in undiluted aliquots for up to one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Glycerol (1:1) can be added for additional stability.
