Other Notes

Cubitt, A.B., et al. 1995. Trends Biochem. Sci.20, 448.
This sequence is completely conserved between GFP and the modified and enhanced Blue, Green, and Yellow FP variants. This antibody has been successfully used in immunoblotting and immunocytochemistry protocols to detect GFP and fusion proteins. It detects a ~28 kDa protein that corresponds to GFP in immunoblots of protein extract from cells transfected with, and overexpressing, GFP isoforms. Antibody should be titrated for optimal results in individual sytems.
