Thioglycoll. B. clear contains thioglycollate and L-Cystine that reduce the redox potential of the culture medium and create an anaerobic atmosphere. These components also inactivate mercury and other heavy metal compounds. The reduced agar content and the presence of a clear gelling agent to offer extra clarity. Resazurin indicates the reduction potential of the medium. An increased concentration of oxygen is indicated by a color change to pink.
Application
Fluid Thioglycolate Medium Clear is designed for the isolation and cultivation of fastidious anaerobic and aerobic microorganisms. It is used for sterility control of pharmaceutical products.
Features and Benefits
Our ready to use media provide the highest level of quality and testing confidence. They have been formulated and tested to meet the pharmacopoeia requirements. Sterility testing media and rinse solutions are manufactured in an ISO 9001, environmentally controlled production center. Each lot undergoes a stringent quality control (QC) procedure, including pH, sterility and growth promotion tests. Our manufacturing approach ensures the highest level of clarity for our media and rinsing fluids, therefore improving accuracy and significantly reducing the risk of incorrect interpretation and false results.
