General description

Major phase is Ni3S2. Product may also include a small amount of sulfur-rich phase. Nickel Sulfide (Ni3S2) exists as a heazlewoodite mineral in nature. The structure of Ni3S2 is hombohedral. Raman spectral analysis of Ni3S2 has been reported.

Application

Nickel sulfide was implanted in mice, to induce the growth of malignant fibrous histiocytomas.
