human ... GABRA1(2554)

Specificity

Specific for GABA and does not cross-react with other amino acids.

Immunogen

GABA-coupled to BSA with glutaraldehyde.

Application

Anti-GABA Antibody, clone 5A9 detects level of GABA & has been published & validated for use in ELISA, IH & WB.
Immunohistochemistry on frozen sections if perfusion fixed. Glutaraldehyde must be included in fixative with paraffin sections: 1:200-1:400. Typical fixative might be 4% PFA, 1% glutaraldehyde in 0.1M sodium phosphate buffer, pH 7.3 .

Immunoblotting not recommended due to low molecular wgt: 103Da.

Optimal working dilution must be determined by the end user.

Although neocortical GABAergic (gamma-aminobutyric acidergic) interneurons have been the focus of intense study, especially in the rat, a consensus view of the functional diversity and organization of inhibitory cortical neurons has not yet been achieved. To better analyze GABAergic neurons

It is well known that the posterior parietal cortex (PPC) and frontal motor cortices in primates preferentially control voluntary movements of contralateral limbs. The PPC of rats has been defined based on patterns of thalamic and cortical connectivity. The anatomical

A very small population of choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) immunoreactive cells is observed in all layers of the adult hippocampus. This is the intrinsic source of the hippocampal cholinergic innervation, in addition to the well-established septo-hippocampal cholinergic projection. This study aimed

Neuropeptides play important physiological functions during distinct behaviors such as arousal, learning, memory, and reproduction. However, the role of local, extrahypothalamic neuropeptide signaling in shaping synapse formation and neuronal plasticity in the brain is not well understood. Here, we characterize
