General description
SLC25A11 (solute carrier family 25 member 11) is present in the inner mitochondrial membrane. SLC25A11 is also referred to as OGC (2-oxoglutarate/malate carrier).

Biochem/physiol Actions
SLC25A11 (solute carrier family 25 member 11) is responsible for transport of oxoglutarate and some carboxylic acids between the cytoplasm and mitochondrial matrix. It is also involved in import of mitochondrial glutathione (GSH).
