6-Aminophenanthridine selectively inhibits protein folding activity of the ribosome (PFAR). Apparently 6-Aminophenanthridine interacts with the ribosome domain V rRNA and the protein substrate. 6-Aminophenanthridine is an antiprion compound that promotes mammalian prion clearance.
