General description

Acetaldehyde is an organic compound and one of the significant aldehydes. Acetaldehyde is employed to produce acetic anhydride, acetic acid, cellulose acetate, pyridine derivatives, pentaerythritol, peracetic acid, and terephthalic acid. Furthermore, it is used as a solvent.

Application

Acetaldehyde is used as a raw material to synthesis acetal(1,1-dimetoxyethane) using Smopex 101 fibres catalyst.
