A cuántas UI corresponde la concentración de 0.2-0.6 UNITS del producto?
1 answer-
The International Unit (I.U.), using benzylpenicillin, is approximately equal to 600 Levy or 75 Pollock units. Also, 1 I.U. is approximately 70,000 kinetic Kersey units. Please also note that 1 I.U. = 1 Sigma unit using benzylpenicillin as a substrate. We have no information regarding the classification of the penicillinase enzymes P0389, P6018, P4399, P4524, and P3553 into groups 2b and group 1 of Bush′s classification system. These enzymes are classified according to Enzyme Nomenclature Biology published by the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB). The penicillinases and cephalosporinases belong to the EC 3.5.2.6 beta-lactamase, defined as a group of enzymes of varying specificity hydrolyzing β-lactams.
