General description
MILI, MIWI, and MIWI2 belong to the Piwi family of proteins. piRNAs and Piwi proteins are implicated in transposon control and are linked to transposon methylation in mammals. MILI, in particular, directly binds with piRNAs in the cytoplasm and is required for PIWIL4/MIWI2 nuclear localization and association with secondary piRNAs antisense. MILI plays an essential role in spermatogenesis, meiotic differentiation of spermatocytes, germ cell differentiation and in self-renewal of spermatogonial stem cells.
~109 kDa observed. An uncharacterized bands at ~30, 55, and 60 kDa may be observed in some lysates.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to mouse MILI.
Application
Anti-MILI Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody for detection of MILI also known as Piwi-like protein 2 & has been validated in WB, ICC, IHC & IP.
