Gene Information

human ... KCNJ11(3767)

Specificity

Recognizes Kir6.2 (Inward rectifier potassium channel Kir6.2). The antibody does not react with Kir6.1. The epitope specific for Kir6.2 is not present in any other known proteins.

Immunogen

Highly purified peptide corresponding to residues 372-385 of rat Kir6.2 (Accession P70673). The immunogen sequence is identical in mouse and conserved in human (12/14).

Application

Anti-Potassium Channel Kir6.2 Antibody detects level of Potassium Channel Kir6.2 & has been published & validated for use in WB.

Western blotting: 1:200 using ECL on rat pancreas lysate.

Immunohistochemistry on rat pancrease sections. Dilutions should be made using a carrier protein such as BSA (1-3%).

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.

Physical form

Lyophilized from PBS, pH 7.4, containing 1% BSA and 0.025% sodium azide. Reconstitute with 50 μL of sterile distilled water. Centrifuge antibody preparation before use (10,000 x g for 5 min).

Storage and Stability

Maintain lyophilized material at -20°C for up to 6 months after date of receipt. After reconstitution maintain at -20°C in undiluted aliquots for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Analysis Note

Control
Included free of charge with the antibody is 40 μg of control antigen (lyophilized powder). For negative control, preincubate 1 μg of purified peptide with 1 μg of antibody for one hour at room temperature. Optimal concentrations must be determined by the end user.

Other Notes

Concentration: Please refer to the Certificate of Analysis for the lot-specific concentration.

Medial temporal lobe structures are essential for memory formation which is associated with coherent network oscillations. During ontogenesis, these highly organized patterns develop from distinct, less synchronized forms of network activity. This maturation process goes along with marked changes in

The female myocardium, relative to that of the male, exhibits sustained resistance to ischaemic tissue injury, a phenomenon termed sex-specific cardioprotection (SSC). SSC is dependent upon the sarcolemmal K(ATP) channel (sarcK(ATP)), and protein kinase C (PKC). Here we investigate whether
