General description
18:1 PE MCC (1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine-N-[4-(p- maleimidomethyl)cyclohexane-carboxamide]) lipid comprising phosphoethanolamine linked to two oleic acid by its phosphate group and to a maleimide group via its amino group. It is a maleimide-functionalized thiol-reactive lipid.
Application
18:1 PE MCC (1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine-N-[4-(p- maleimidomethyl)cyclohexane-carboxamide]) has been used:
- in proteoliposome preparation
- in liposome preparation for tagging reporter DNA
- in the preparation of fluorescent sulforhodamine B (SRB) dye-loaded liposomes
