Application

SB 204741 has been used as a 5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 2B (Htr2B) antagonist:

• to inhibit Htr2b signaling to test its effect on hepatic stellate cell (HSC) activation in three-month-old adult zebrafish[1]
• to test its effect on the inhibition of fluoxetine effects in depressive-like behavioral studies in mice[2]
• to test its effect in reducing scratching behavior evoked by sertraline in mice[3]

5-HT_2B serotonin receptor antagonist.

SB 204741 reduces the synaptic facilitation induced by the low dose of buprenorphine in spinal C-fiber synapses.[4]
