Opis

Application

Sodium cholate hydrate was used in the sonication and purification of single-walled carbon nanotubes prior to electrophoresis.[1][2]

Biochem/physiol Actions

Sodium cholate is an anionic detergent. It forms aggregates or micelles in aqueous solution.[3] It slightly increases the solubility of insoluble molecules such as cholesterol, phospholipids and fatty acids.[4]

Preparation Note

Sodium cholate hydrate yields clear, colorless solution in water (0.1 M).
