Questions

1–3 of 3 Questions
  1. What is the composition of the loading buffer. Does it contain any reducing agents?

    1 answer
    1. This product contains lithium dodecyl sulfate with pH at 8.4, but does not include a reducing agent. Either Dithiothrietol (DDT) or beta-mercaptoethanol (BME) may be used. The recommended final concentration is 100 mM DTT or 25 mM BME. Please see the link below to access the mPAGE™ Bis-Tris Precast SDS-PAGE Gels User Guide, page 7:_x000D_

  2. Can Laemmli buffer be used instead of the sample buffer?

    1 answer
    1. Laemmli buffer is commonly used with Tris-Glycine gels, while mPAGE gels use a different chemistry (Bis-Tris) and require LDS buffer. Therefore, it is recommended to use the LDS buffer, which can be prepared using the formula provided in the mPAGE user guide.

  3. Est ce que ce tampon contient déjà un agent réducteur tel que le DTT ou le béta mercapto ethanol ?

    1 answer
    1. This product requires the addition of a reducing agent. Either Dithiothrietol (DDT) or beta-mercaptoethanol (BME) may be used. The recommended final concentration is 100 mM DTT or 25 mM BME. Please see the link below to access the mPAGE™ Bis-Tris Precast SDS-PAGE Gels User Guide, page 7:
