General description
Malt Extract Acidified Broth (pH 4.3) is a modified version of the classic Malt Extract Broth according to Reiss, where the pH has been lowered to obtain greater selectivity of the medium.
The pH should not be lowered below 3.5 as these conditions are difficult and delay growth a lot. The culture medium should also not overheat.
