Developed by the Ritter Lab, the enchanced activity is accomplished by participation in either nucleophilic, radical, or electrophilic mechanisms depending on the selected reaction conditions, allowing for the introduction of trifluoromethyl moieties to many substrates with a high functional group tolerance.
