A 100X concentrate that, when diluted to 1X, contains 10 mM Tris, 1 mM EDTA, pH ~8.0.
Tris-ethylenediaminetetraacetic (TE) buffer is a common buffer used in molecular biology to maintain the integrity of nucleic acid during handling and storage.

Application

TE Buffer, 100X, Molecular Biology Grade – Calbiochem has been used to dilute DNA stock solutions. It has also been used to dilute thymidylate synthase (thyA) culture for colony polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
