Application

Benzyl benzoate has been used as a test compound for evaluating its acaricidal activities by comparative counts, at regular intervals, with Dermutophagoides furinue populations. It has also been used for cleaning the whole-mount lacZ stained slides for microscopic visualization under a stereomicroscope.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Benzyl benzoate is the condensation product of benzoic acid and benzyl alcohol. It is utilized for treating human scabies as well as kills house dust mite.
