General description

Tryptic Soy Broth with 1% Tween® 80 is a nutrient rich inhibitor free microbial media designed in compliance with regulatory bodies like European (EP), Japanese (JP) and United States Pharmacopeia (USP).
The peptones present come from casein and soymeal which provides an enhanced carbon source, which promotes the growth of the microbes present in the test sample.
Polysorbate 80 (Tween®) is a neutralizer to inactivate residues of disinfectants containing active agents such as Alcohol (70% ethanol or isopropyl alcohol), Aldehyde, Dichloroisocyanurate, Glucoprotamine, Peracetic acid, Phenols, Biguanides and quaternary ammonium compounds.

Application

Tryptic Soy Broth with 1% Tween® 80 is used for the isolation and cultivation of fastidious bacteria, yeast. TSB is suitable for sterility testing of substances, preparations, and products from pharmaceutical and food industry.
