Gene Information

human ... CTTN(2017)

Specificity

Recognizes Cortactin phosphorylated on tyrosine 421. Cortactin is an 80-85 kDa actin-binding protein, which consists of a variety of protein domains. The nature and function of these domains, coupled with the presence of multiple consensus sites for phosphorylation by tyrosine and serine/threonine kinases, suggests that cortactin integrates activation of specific signaling pathways with cytoskeletal reorganization.

Immunogen

Epitope: phospho-specific (Tyr421)
Rabbit anti-Cortactin (Y421) polyclonal antibody was raised against a peptide corresponding to residues surrounding phosphorylated Y421of human cortactin.

Application

Anti-Cortactin Antibody, phospho-specific (Tyr421) detects level of Cortactin & has been published & validated for use in WB.
