General description

Hydroxyitraconazole is an active metabolite of itraconazole, an antifungal drug used for the treatment of fungal infections. Therapeutic drug monitoring of hydroxyitraconazole is utilized in the management of patients receiving itraconazole to ensure therapeutic levels of the drug have been achieved. This Certified Spiking Solution® is suitable as starting material for calibrators, controls, or linearity standards for therapeutic drug monitoring or clinical and diagnostic testing of hydroxyitraconazole in patient blood, serum, or plasma samples by HPLC or LC-MS/MS.
