Gene Information

human ... SRC(6714)

General description

SRC (proto-oncogene, non-receptor tyrosine kinase) belongs to the Src family kinases (SFKs). It contains an amino-terminal domain, conserved Src-homology domains (SH2 and SH3), a tyrosine kinase domain and the carboxyl-terminus. This gene is located on human chromosome 20q11.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human Src around the phosphorylation site of Tyr418.

Immunogen Range: 386-435

Application

Anti-phospho-Src (pTyr418) antibody has been used in immunofluorescence.

Biochem/physiol Actions

SRC (proto-oncogene, non-receptor tyrosine kinase) controls early HIV-1 (human immunodeficiency virus 1) infection post-entry. This gene participates in fundamental physiological and pathological processes like carcinogenesis and tumor progression. Src kinase activity helps in the migration of endothelial cells.

Investigation of heterogeneous cellular structures using single-molecule localization microscopy has been limited by poorly defined localization accuracy and inadequate multiplexing capacity. Using fluorescent nanodiamonds as fiducial markers, we define and achieve localization precision required for single-molecule accuracy in dSTORM images.
