Human alpha3 integrin (CD49c)

Immunogen

Human squamous cell carcinoma cells (SCC9)

Application

Inhibition (Functional Activity): A previous lot of this antibody was shown to inhibit cell attachment by inhibiting SCC9 cell adhesion to human and EHS laminin, and laminin GD-2 peptide and potentiates the inhibition of SKOV-3 cell adhesion to EHS laminin by anti-integrin alpha 5 antibody GoH3. This antibody does not inhibit cell adhesion to fibronectin or collagen type IV.

Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A previous lot of this antibody was used on acetone-fixed frozen human epithelial tissues including tongue, foreskin and ovary. Not for use on formalin-fixed tissue.

Flow Cytometry Analysis: A previous lot of this antibody stains human squamous cell carcinoma (SCC9), ovarian carcinoma (SKOV-3) and umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC).

Immunoprecipitation Analysis: A previous lot of this antibody precipitates PAGE bands of 130 kDa (reduced) or 116 kDa and 135 kDa (non-reduced) from surface-biotinylated SCC9 or SKOV-3 cells.
Anti-Integrin α3 Antibody, clone ASC-1 (Azide Free) inhibits cell attachment & detects level of Integrin α3 & has been published & validated for use in FC, IP, IH, Inhibition Assays.

Current methods to replace damaged upper airway epithelium with exogenous cells are limited. Existing strategies use grafts that lack mucociliary function, leading to infection and the retention of secretions and keratin debris. Strategies that regenerate airway epithelium with mucociliary function
