Bright-Line™ 血球计是由一块单一的耐热耐震动的玻璃制成的。一个H型的分隔形成两个计数区域，或平台。在每个平台的加样侧有一个“V”斜线，可以方便地进行上样，并减少溢出分隔的可能性。每个平台上均有升级的Neubauer直纹。

直纹面位于被盖玻璃下方0.1毫米处，血液或液体的体积限制在0.1立方毫米以上。每400平方毫米及以上(在中心平方毫米内)至0.00025立方米。光滑的平盖玻璃表面与盖玻璃支架的接触在计数区域产生精确的流体体积。腔体金属表面与抛光盖玻璃表面张力特性的差异，保证了精密加样时流畅的毛细现象和细胞分布的均匀。
