生化/生理作用

白介素-1 (IL-1),最初称为淋巴细胞激活因子(LAF),可激活T细胞淋巴细胞,进而增殖并分泌白介素-2 (IL-2)。IL-1主要从受刺激的巨噬细胞和单核细胞释放,但也已显示可从几种其他类型细胞中释放,并且被认为在炎症和免疫应答中起关键作用。IL-1的其他同义词包括:内源性热原(EP)、有丝分裂原蛋白(MP)、辅助峰-1 (lp -1)、T细胞替代因子III(TRF III或TRFM)、B细胞激活因子(BAF)和B细胞分化因子(BDF)。两种关系紧密的试剂白细胞介素-1 α(IL-1α)和白细胞介素-1β (IL-1β)在氨基酸序列上有62%的同源性,引起几乎相同的生物反应。IL-1α和IL-1β的糖基化量都在17 kDa左右,具有一定的异质性。
