一般說明

胶原蛋白在整个进化过程中是高度保守的,其特征在于不间断的“甘氨酸X Y”三联体重复序列,其是三螺旋结构的必需部分。I型胶原蛋白(95 kDa)存在于骨骼,角膜,皮肤和肌腱中。编码基因的突变与成骨不全、埃勒斯-当洛斯综合征和特发性骨质疏松症有关。该基因和血小板衍生的生长因子β基因所在的染色体17和22之间的相互易位,与称为隆突性皮肤纤维肉瘤的特定类型的皮肤肿瘤有关,这是由于生长因子的表达不受调节所致。
