General description

Chemical structure: ß-lactam
Dicloxacillins are mostly used β-lactam class of antibiotics that have major applications in veterinary medicines.

Application

Dicloxacillin sodium salt hydrate may be used as a reference standard for the determination of dicloxacillin sodium salt hydrate in:
  • Animal feed by pressurised liquid extraction (PLE) with liquid chromatography-quadrupole-linear ion-trap mass spectrometry (LC-QLIT-MS/MS) operating on multiple reaction monitoring mode (MRM).
  • Gilthead sea bream (Sparus aurata) by ultra-high pressure liquid chromatography (UHPLC) in conjunction with MS/MS.
  • Foodstuffs of animal origin and in milk by UHPLC-MS/MS equipped with electrospray ionisation (ESI).
