Application

Paraoxon-ethyl is a metabolite of parathion which is used as a non-systemic insecticide and acaricide to control sucking and chewing insects in cereals, fruit, citrus, vines, hops, vegetables, ornamentals, cotton and field crops. Paraoxon-ethyl is one of the most potent acetylcholinesterase-inhibing insecticides available. Under Reg. (EC) No 1107/2009 parathion is not approved for it′s use in the European Union as a plant protection product. The certified reference material (CRM) is intended to be used as a calibrant for chromatography and other analytical techniques.
