Isolation and detection of yeasts and molds

Application

Malt Extract Agar has been used in:
  • isolation of ascomycetes from orchid roots
  • cultivation of Pleurotus ferulae mycelium
  • the culturing of fungal species

Other Notes

Contains maltose, dextrin, glycerol, peptone and agar

Preparation Note

Solve 33.6 g in 1 litre distilled water. Autoclave 15 minutes at 121°C.
