General description

Folpet is a contact fungicide used for the control of foliar and seed-borne diseases. Folpet is known to inhibit various oxidative enzymes, carboxylases and also enzymes required for phosphate metabolism and citrate synthesis.

Application

Folpet may be used as a reference standard for the determination of the analyte in food matrices based on QuEChERS (Quick, Easy, Cheap, Effective, Rugged and Safe) method for extraction followed by gas chromatography coupled with electron ionization and triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (GC-EI-MS/MS).
