Application

Dioctyl phenylphosphonate (DOPP) was used as plasticizer, in an experiment conducted for designing iron ion sensor based on functionalised ZnO (Zinc Oxide) nanorods. It was also used in Raman and UV-vis spectroscopic study, of polyaniline (PANI) membranes containing different amounts of a bulky lipophilic cationic additive, tridodecylmethylammonium chloride (TDMACl).

Electric characteristics of two kinds of membranes in response to NaCl and quinine were theoretically studied; one membrane composed of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and dioctylphenylphosphonate (DOPP), and the other a lipid/PVC/DOPP membrane containing PVC, DOPP and a negatively charged lipid.
