General description

Casticin is a flavonoid, widely used as an anti-inflammatory agent. It has anti-tumor properties and is considered to be a potent immunomodulatory and cytotoxic compound.

Application

It was may be used as reference standard to compare retention time and ion peaks in plant extracts during GC/MS analysis to quantify Casticin and artemetin.
