General description

Standardized, concentrated cell culture supernatant which has been diafiltered with phosphate buffered saline.

For the formulation of Anti-A or Anti-A+B blood typing reagents or devices.

The BIRMA-1 antibody reacts strongly with all common forms of the A antigen, including A2B. When used at appropriate concentrations it will directly agglutinate most examples of Ax. It has the benefit of not agglutinating red cells classified as having the B(A) phenomenon, nor of agglutinating unmodified or enzyme treated B or O red cells. It is a proven raw material for the manufature of Anti-A reagents.

Contains 0.1% (w/v) Sodium Azide; Shelf Life: 24 months from date of filtration.

Licensed by the US FDA under a shared manufacturing agreement.

Application

Antibody intermediate for further manufacturing use.
Production of an in vitro blood typing product or device.
