Gene Information

human ... IL22RA1(58985)

General description

Interleukin-22 receptor subunit alpha-1 (UniProt Q8N6P7; also known as CRF2-9, Cytokine receptor class-II member 9, Cytokine receptor family 2 member 9, IL-22 receptor subunit alpha-1, IL-22R-alpha-1, IL-22RA1, ZcytoR11) is encoded by the IL22RA1 (also known as IL22R) gene (Gene ID 58985) in human. IL-22RA-1 is a member of the type II cytokine receptor family that complexes with IL-10RB and mediates JAK/STAT signaling. IL22 binding to heterodimer is greater than binding to IL22RA1 alone. IL-22RA-1 is expressed in colon, liver, lung, pancreas and kidney, however, no expression is observed in immune cells, such as monocytes, T-cells, and NK-cells. It is also detected in normal blood brain barrier endothelial cells as well as in multiple sclerosis lesions. Higher expression has been observed in synovial fluid cells from rheumatoid arthritis and spondyloarthropathy patients.

Specificity

This polyclonal antibody targets a C-terminal sequence within the cytoplasmic domain of human IL-22 receptor subunit alpha-1.

Immunogen

KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to a sequence within the C-terminal region of human IL-22RA-1 cytoplasmic domain.

Application

Flow Cytometry Analysis: 1 µg from a representative lot detected IL-22RA-1 immunoreactivity among one million 4% paraformaldehyde-fixed, 0.2% Triton X-100-permeabilized SW480 human colon cancer cells.

Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:250-1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected IL-22RA-1 in human tonsil and prostate tissue sections.

Inflammation & Immunology
This rabbit polyclonal Anti-IL-22RA-1 Antibody, Cat. No. 06-1077-I is validated for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin), and Western Blotting for the detection of Interleukin-22 receptor subunit alpha-1.

Quality

Evaluated by Western Blotting in mouse spleen tissue lysate.

Western Blotting Analysis: 2 µg/mL of this antibody detected IL-22RA-1 in 10 µg of mouse spleen tissue lysate.
