General description

Ganglioside GQ1b is a ganglioside, which contains tetra-sialosyl group and a disialosyl group attached to the internal galactose. Ganglioside is a glycosphingolipid and is localized in the cell membrane and mammalian brain. It is attached to the external leaflet of the lipid bilayer via a ceramide moiety.

Biochem/physiol Actions
