General description

α-Tocopherol (vitamin E) is a lipid-soluble antioxidant found in whole grains, nuts, and oils. It is known to scavenge reactive oxygen species by interacting with lipids during oxidative stress.
α-Tocopherol-(trimethylphenyl-13C9) is an isotope of vitamin E wherein all the six phenyl carbons and three methyl carbons attached to the phenyl ring are replaced by 13C6 carbon.

Application

α-Tocopherol-(trimethylphenyl-13C9) can be used as a stable isotope internal standard for data interpretation in specific biological samples.
