General description

Carboxylic acid- SAM is an acid terminated self-assembled monolayer on the surface of gold, which is mainly utilized to immobilize the surface atoms. The SAM film formed has a high degree of molecular orientation. This reagent is majorly utilized in surface science, biomineralization, and sensor based applications.

Application

Used to prepare carboxylic acid- terminated self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) on gold surfaces as biosensors detected by QCM (Quartz Crystal Microbalance), SPR (Surface Plasmon Resonance), and electrochemical analysis.
Coupled with carboxyl group activation method using NHS/WSC, carboxylic acid-SAM can be used as an interface to immobilize proteins or peptides and other ligands on gold surfaces.
This SAM Formation Reagent presents less non-specific binding than those commonly prepared with carboxylic acid-SAM.
Storage: Keep tightly closed; packed under Nitrogen gas; store in cooler (0~5 °C); dark and dry place.
