Application

pT7-FLAGa-4 is a 6451 bp Escherichia coli expression vector used for cloning and cytoplasmic expression of a properly inserted open reading frame as a C-terminal FLAGÒ fusion protein containing the FLAG epitope (DYKDDDDK). The promoter region of the very strong phage T7 promoter drives transcription of ORF-FLAG fusion constructs.

A gene expression system based on bacteriophage T7 RNA polymerase has been developed. T7 RNA polymerase is highly selective for its own promoters, which do not occur naturally in Escherichia coli. A relatively small amount of T7 RNA polymerase provided
