Professor Bing-Feng Shi

The major research interests of Prof. Bing-Feng Shi's lab are focused on transition metal-catalyzed transformations and their application in the synthesis of natural products. Recently, his group has developed the direct functionalization of C(sp³)-H bonds, especially the chemically inactive methylene C(sp³)-H bonds assisted by PIP-auxiliary. Currently, the Shi lab is continuing its work on the development of new reactions and auxiliaries for C-H bond functionalization.
