Description
Analysis Note
Dermorphin is a heptapeptide derived from frogs. It is a painkiller and used illicitly in racehorses so they continue to run through the pain. A rapid analysis of dermorphin standard is shown here on an Ascentis Express F5 column. The HILIC mode separation provided the necessary retention and MS-compatibility, while the pentafluorophenyl (F5) phase chemistry elimated the chelating interactions that are problematic on bare silica.
