Descrizione generale

The gene RUSC2 (RUN and SH3 domain-containing protein 2) is mapped to human chromosome 9p13.1. The gene consists of 12 exons. The protein contains a SH3 (SRC homology 3) domain, polyproline stretches, leucine zipper and a RUN (domain involved in Ras-like GTPase signaling) domain. It is widely expressed and shows cytosolic punctuate distribution. RUSC2 is commonly referred to as Iporin.
